In accessible yoga we use chairs and yoga bolsters as props. The class is suitable for those who may have various physical problems, balance difficulties or don’t have much energy. We adapt the movements according to the participants' needs and each class includes sun salutations (perhaps seated) and other asanas (yoga movements), relaxation and breathing exercises. Everyone can practice yoga and accessible yoga is also suitable for seniors. The content of the class is based on Jivana Heyman's Accessible yoga, see www.accessibleyoga.org. Please note that you need to go up and down a few steps to reach Mindful Movements Studio and the space is not wheelchair accessible.
